At Harbor Pediatric Dentistry, you can be confident in the pediatric dental care you have chosen for your child. Starting with the first visit, we want you and your child to feel welcomed and cared for.
Our families value their outstanding experiences with our team because of the personalized, positive, and compassionate way they are treated. We strive to provide all families with positive experiences and a foundation in preventative care that will give every child a healthy and confident smile into adulthood.
We provide the highest standard of dental care for our patients with a focus on every child’s comfort. We encourage parents’ participation in their child’s care and welcome them to be with their child for all appointments. We use the most up-to-date and cutting-edge treatments with a strong foundation in prevention. Our highly trained and compassionate team combined with a bright and welcoming atmosphere helps remove any anxiety your child may have.
As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. John chose to continue his formal education for an additional two years to specialize in pediatrics and then obtained his board certification through a multi-year examination process. When compared to a traditional “general” dentist, this added education allows Dr. John and our team to provide the most thorough and up-to-date treatment for children and adolescents. From your child’s first visit until they become an adult, our goal is to help them develop a healthy smile and great dental habits that will last their lifetime.
Our office is also designed with children in mind. We want kids of all ages to feel comfortable and safe from the first moment they walk in the door. Our team is fully trained in working with children from all walks of life. So, whether your child is outgoing or shy, we take the extra time to get to know their personalities and what will work best for them.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) defines a “dental home” as “the ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient, inclusive of all aspects of oral health care delivered in a comprehensive, continuously accessible, coordinated, and family-centered way.” The AAPD recommends finding children a “dental home” by 12 months of age, as “children who have a dental home are more likely to receive preventive and routine oral health care.” This routine oral health care is an important part of helping your child avoid cavities and other common childhood dental problems.
At Harbor Pediatric Dentistry, we agree with the AAPD and understand that finding a “dental home” is an important process for families. Our team has the training to help your child develop and maintain excellent oral health throughout their childhood.
